Key responsibilities
- The specialist will diagnose and manage work-related illnesses such as occupational asthma, noise-induced hearing loss, and repetitive strain injuries.
- The role involves performing comprehensive fitness-for-work assessments and conducting ergonomic workstation evaluations.
- The physician will develop individualized clinical pathways for rehabilitating employees returning to work after industrial injuries.
- The successful candidate will collaborate closely with health and safety officers and industrial hygienists to mitigate workplace hazards.
- The specialist will provide clinical mentorship and guidance to junior medical staff and nursing personnel within the occupational health unit.
- The role requires educating employees on the prevention of occupational diseases and the importance of utilizing personal protective equipment.
- The physician will lead clinical audits and participate in research initiatives to improve occupational health standards and safety protocols.
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree
- Recognised specialisation certificate — CCT (UK), American Board, German Facharzt, or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 3+ years post-qualification experience
